POZOR VLAK was founded in the lazy summer days of 1996 as a trio. Their task was to teach the people how to surf 'n' roll. So, they began to write dozens of songs influenced by the music of the Phantom Surfers, Link Wray and a lot of other great bands and artists.

Pozor Vlak played every little club in their local area (mostly punk rock places) and met a lot of brilliant people such as Thee Headcoats/Thee Headcoatees, King Khan and His Sensational Shrines, Butch Meier, Kilaueas, Tiki Tiki Bamboos, Space Hobos and many others.

In 2000 they released their debut LP "GO!" (500 copies), which was played on the radio by Phil Dirt and John Peel (R.I.P.). In the following years the boys continue to develop their style by playing concerts and recording songs ("Sun City" Demo CD/ one track for the "Banzai Sampler" CD). In 2004 Pozor Vlak recorded the album "Shell Beach!" which contains 14 instrumental fuzz 'n' surf stompers. The CD will be released in winter 04/05, so be sure to get a cool place at SHELL BEACH!

Prof. Vlakow - plays the guitar (Fender Stratocaster) and bass (Epiphone/ same model the Nashville Pussy uses). The Prof is the academics of the band and a founding member. He's the one who puts that psychedelic sound in the music of Pozor Vlak. The bandprimus is married and has a cool little boy (Louis Richard). Vlakow's hobbies are soccer, traveling around the globe and diverse mysterious scientific activities.
He also plays in other cool bands: The Raths, Thee Fucked Up 5, Congressman.

Der Schwarze Ritter - plays different kinds of percussion (self-made). Der Schwarze Ritter trades with goat leather, automobile spare parts, books, electrical equipment, scrap metal .... He's a master of his trade and it is no wonder that his equipment is self-made. The Ritter has a little daughter (Blanka) and a dog (Marie). The "black knight" lives the life of a rock 'n' roll nomad, so he's the one who will survive the next typhoon in his VW bus! (He don't need no other cool bands.)

Tarras Nanoc - plays the drums (second hand drum set) and is also a founding member. Tarras has an incredible knowledge about all styles of music and the best sorted record collection in town. He's addicted to horse races and knows all the internals of the horse race business! He works occasionally in the "HOT RATS" recordstore. To discover the secret behind his name, just spell it backwards and perhaps it'll make sense to you.

Commandante - plays guitar (Fender Telecaster) and bass (Fender Jazz). Commandante likes every kind of trash music and cheapo entertainment. He's also a Pozor Vlak founding member. The Mr. Jeckyll in him, works as an assistent in a brain research center. Mr. Hyde "works" as a concert supervisor and fun dj. Better beware of these two guys!
