I did this in 2009 starting from a Weber 6A14 kit with a 12" Weber Sig12 and a DR spec output transformer.

I built in a few mods of my own including a galactic grounding scheme with separate filter caps (for uber-quiet noise floor), and a FET source follower coupled to the trem wiggle tube stage in order to (buffer the trem wiggle from the load on the 6V6 grids) and provide more intense slam.

The amp puts out about 15W clean, and I gig it with another Weber Sig12 in an extn cab and it really screams.

The amp came with the faux Western-tooled leather/ Paisley-embossed tolex, and it has a 3 spring reverb tank for OTT 'verb.

Amp was dry-mic'd with an SM57 straight into my desk and thence into Garbage Band on my mac (and then into iTunes for your critical analysis).
